Help us feed desperately hungry children in Ndola  -  the aim of Jireh alongside our Partner Stir the Fire Ministries Zambia aim to feed, educate and present the Christian gospel to these desperately needy orphan children.

A message from our Partner in Zambia- Pastor John Kiseba 

 

'I recently visited a community within Ndola known as Kaloko which has a high population between 18-20,000 people, here disease in the community is high  

 

Whilst I was there I noticed a lot of orphaned and very vulnerable children, who were searching for and eating waste food from the trash at the local market. I was overcome by what I saw, tears just dropped from my eyes. I went home broken. God began to give me a burden to revisit this community with the little food and money I had to feed even just a few of these desperate children 

 

My wife Judith and I returned, again to find these children continuing to pick through the  trash at the market. We quickly bought drinks, and food with the money we had but soon discovered that the number of children was just too much for us to feed.  I spoke to one of the local women if she would allow us to use her house to feed some of the children with the food we just bought. As you can see from the pictures, these are the children we fed.

 

Before we left the area was covered with children, all waiting around, desperate to be fed, we felt overwhelmed as we didn’t have the capacity to feed them.

With God’s blessing and your help we are aiming to continue a regular feeding program for many more of these vulnerable children

 

We thank God for every donor, for your generosity and sacrifice because we know you don’t give because you have plenty but because of the passion you have for the suffering people in other parts of the world.

 

At present we can feed 50 children a meal for £50. Your contribution of any amount will help us meet this desperate need.
